With photorealistic maps the planning and execution of tours is much easier than with topographic maps. The 3D maps based on high resolution aerial images visualize the alpine mountain landscape in an unprecedented manner. Even the smallest details of the landscape are visible which allows for the first time a realistic assessment of the terrain, the slope and the entire route. On the way orientation is much easier and safer with photorealistic 3D maps.
More than 90 regional maps
Alpine wide there are more than 90 regional maps - from the Zugspitze to the Dolomites and the Berchtesgaden Alps to the Matterhorn! An overview of the covered area can be found on www.outdoor-guides.de. Available as in-app purchase: costs depend on the size of the area and range from 6.99 to 9.99 €.
Use without Internet
Both, 3D map and topographic maps can be stored on the smartphone or optionally on an SD card, so that the cards are available even without Internet.

Quality-tested tours of the renowned Bergverlag Rother
Each region includes a number of carefully selected and quality controlled tour suggestions with plotted route. A touch on the desired route opens a detailed route description and elevation profile.
Import routes from the Internet easily in the app
Compatible to the widespread GPX format any tour from the internet can be easily imported into the app and displayed in the 3D map.
Detailed topographical map
The route display is alternatively in a topographic map and 2D aerial view. With the detailed zoomable topographical map at a scale 1: 25,000, the app can be used in the Alps and most of Central Europe.
Record your own tours with GPS
A sophisticated tracking tool continuously indicates the current distance traveled, the direction of movement and total time, time in motion, speed and elevation gains. Detailed statistics will be saved in the tour book.. Height profile and speed are displayed as a graph. With each recorded tour photos can be saved with exact geolocation.
Share experiences with friends
The route of self-recorded tours can be shared with friends or posted in the community. Shared tours and GPX tracks from the Internet can be imported directly into the app. For this purpose a community account is necessary under www.outdoor-guides.de. In addition, screenshots of the 3D map with own tours can be shared with friends using whatsapp, google +, email, etc. or posted on Facebook.
